26 June | Dutch TT 2010

The TT Circuit Assen is known all throughout the motorcycle world as a twisty, technical circuit with banked corners that make for sticky cornering and superb spectator viewing from the grandstands or earth banks that surround the circuit. Combined with a 970m top-speed straight and an unconventional track design dating from 1955 that keeps riders’ fingertips gripped on the levers, it is easy to see why thousands of MotoGP fans from all over the world flock to “The Cathedral” of motorcycling, year after year, on the last Saturday in June.

Recent modifications to the current circuit considerably reduced the original 1955 track length from 7.705km to the current 4.555km, giving us the A-Style Assen TT Circuit that we know of today. Always an exciting venue: Who could forget 2006 when Colin Edwards lost his first GP victory on the final corner? Or Rossi's relentless pursuit of Stoner in 2007 resulting in one of his most clinical victories? Or even when Hayden ran out of petrol on the final corner and loosing a podium finish?

Friday (and Thursday) are general admission days, you want to use the time to explore the circuit's many excellent viewing locations. Choosing grandstands for Sunday is a harder choice - do you like the aggressive final straight leading into Geert Timmer chicane (choose Winterdijk ) or prefer the opening loop - a great panoramic view of this is best seen from TT World . The VIP Village is superb - landing you across from Winterdijk with private grandstands, pit walks, paddock tours and of course luxury catering.

For Assen we have two package options. On the more economical side, and perfect for groups and bikers, we have secured a beautiful rural bungalow park in the nearby village of Vledder as our Special Package . All accommodation is in your own private chalet set amidst the lake and woods of the nature park. Each sleeps up to 6 in 3 twin bedded rooms. The package is dinner, bed and breakfast for 3 days, plus transfers to track and a visit to the legendary Friday night Assen Street Party, so pretty all-inclusive! Your only responsibility will be the beer! (and we even provide that on Thursday night!). Very secure parking.

If you are look for more quality and style, and don't mind splashing out a bit on very nice accommodation, stay in our 4* hotel in the centre of Groningen in our Superior Package , including 3 nights B&B with track transfers. You will have our VIP rep. with you for the weekend with advise of the local bars and coffee shops!

Both packages gain you our Thursday opening party; and for those of you not ready to rest your heads Saturday after the races, join us on our maddest post-race excursion of the year -- pedalling the beer-wagon tour of Groningen!
