07 November | Gran Premio Valencia 2010
As it is the last race event of the MotoGP championship, the MotoGP at Ricardo Tormo circuit, Valencia always sells out a long way in advance. Even if the championship is decided, the event is always thrilling, as there are many agendas and currents running through the weekend as racers, teams, manufacturers all try to align themselves for the coming season. 2009 testing will occur starting the following day, if you want to prolong your visit, ask us about access options to this unique event.
The circuit is just 17Km west of the city and is situated in a natural amphitheatre, giving a fantastic view from most of the 120,000 Grandstand seats. However only the Yellow, Purple and Orange grandstands have TV views, thus these are the ones we most recommend. All tickets are valid for three days. VIP Village at this event is superb - a private pavilion next to the paddock with a private turn 1 grandstand. However these will sell out by March, so book soon! This year owing to the extremely limited supply, we will only sell VIP as part of a package.
Valencia itself is a fascinating city - a blend of architectures from Moorish to Modern, and a vibrant atmosphere as Spain's 3rd largest city; this is a great place to spend a few extra days as part of your 'Indian Summer'. We have some great options for extended stays.
Despite the size of Valencia and number of hotels, availability for the event is hard to find and very early booking is essential. The city also boasts a world renowned expo centre with major events taking place at the same time as the MotoGP. The result is even more demand for the already stretched hotels.
Now in our fifth year, Valencia is our second biggest event. We expect over 1000 ticket holders, 5 hotels giving the widest range of options; a small fleet of coaches; and a team of staff speaking many languages. Our opening party Friday features a charity auction for Down Syndrome Ireland, selling all sorts of unique merchandise; and special guests. Sunday night we finish with our end of season dinner - a toast to our favourite sport and always a night to remember! (apart from the die-hards who always go on to hit the local clubs!)
We have a wide range of package options, from our very popular Classic 3*, a great value Superior 4*, and a sublime Deluxe 5*. This year we are also featuring our all-inclusive Deluxe Beach Package, which will be sure to sell out first, as it has the past two years. All packages include the opening party and our priority transport to the Ricardo Tormo circuit.
